The Job:
The Bicester Garden Town Programme Manager role is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and highly committed individual to make a positive impact at Cherwell District Council. Bicester is experiencing significant growth and this position coordinates a series of projects and wider public sector services to ensure this is delivered in a sustainable fashion.
This will be achieved by ensuring projects are specified and delivered to the highest project management standards and that internal and external stakeholders are fully engaged in the Bicester Garden Town Programme.
Reporting to the Corporate Director Communities, this role is a key part of the Directorate Leadership Team and will form part of the Extended Leadership Team for the council, you will provide strong leadership and motivate the team and wider colleagues to deliver high quality outcomes from project work whilst supporting transformation and strong partnership working across the council.
The successful applicant will act as professional lead for the service.
The Person:
We need someone with experience, drive and commitment to lead and manage the service developing the programme with Homes England and within the wider garden town community.
You will have experience of working in and managing services relating to regeneration, growth and development with a focus on project delivery and managing complex planning and development schemes.
You will have proven experience of building networks and partnerships with the public and private sector both locally and nationally, and with key stakeholders, businesses, and residents.
You will actively contribute, deliver and monitor the vision, strategic direction and core values of the council and provide a clear sense of direction, optimism, and purpose.
You will have a track record of delivering right first time projects and organisational change in complex environments.
