Job description
An opportunity exists in the Council’s Street Scene Services for a Project Officer working from our Depot at Monckton Road, Wakefield.
What will be expected from me?
The postholder will be part of a small team supporting the work of our Street Scene Services, focusing on our Parks & Countryside sites.
What I might be doing?
You will manage and support the implementation of projects aligned to the greenspace and nature recovery workstreams; these projects will be of varying size, scale and complexity.
You will actively engage and consult with communities, partners and key stakeholders to enhance the delivery of Street Scene services by initiating and identifying strategic development projects; sourcing external funding, procuring and project managing the resultant projects.
You will support the Street Scene Management Team through regular liaison and negotiation to develop effective partnership working with community representatives, key partners and customers to provide a citizen-focused service, delivering clean, safe, accessible & attractive parks & open spaces that are pleasant to live in and give the local community a sense of belonging.
