Easy regulatory reporting for sustainability with AI

Generative artificial intelligence powers new features on ESG data management platform, Sweep.

Improved functionality now includes Sweepy, a digital assistant capable of mapping financials and impact based on industry benchmarks. It can also automate all non-financial data reporting and disclosures.

Sweep can now offer recommendations on a number of environmental factors, including emissions and sustainability goals. And suggestions on resolving data anomalies which, if tackled manually, would add huge complications to auditing processes.

With millions of additional data points introduced, users are can not only analyse more information which can improve future planning on environment, social and governance, but existing tasks are also now finished far faster. Sweep’s integration of Consequence, a net zero accounting platform for data collection, calculations, workflow reporting and more, is a key to many of the changes.

‘Sweep is an industry leader in data management, continuing to invest in the latest technology to supercharge the platform. It’s well-known that Artificial Intelligence is only as good as the data it receives,’ said Yannick Chaze, Sweep’s Chief Technical Officer and co-founder.

‘Combining Sweep’s powerful data management platform with increased AI functionalities will accelerate data collection and reporting, and empower our customers to reduce their climate and environmental impacts,’ they continued.

Environment Journal has reported on a number of artificial intelligence projects breaking ground in sustainability. This has included modelling for extreme weather, renewable energy optimisation, and the future of aviation. In January, we also ran published predictions on what the future of sustainability in AI looks like.
