Research by Cartridge Save has found that South Oxfordshire District Council has the highest rate of household recycling in the country. However, at just 61.6% of total waste there is still plenty of room for improvement.

Three Rivers District Council (61.5%), Vale of White Horse District Council (60.9%), St Albans City and District Council (60.1%) and Stratford-on-Avon District Council (60%) round out the top five. East Devon, Stockport, Surrey Heath, and Dorset council complete the ten best performing authorities, all of which achieved a minimum of 58.9% or higher.
