EV charge networks hit back at ‘unreliable’ claims
Electric vehicle (EVs) charge point providers have hit back at claims that the current network is ‘unreliable’.
A survey by the website Click4Reg.co.uk claimed 88% of EV drivers believe the current public charge network in the UK is ‘unreliable’ and a similar number (82%) believe the government is not keeping up with the demand for public EV charge points.
Committee calls for more help for fuel poor homes
A government quango has called for the winter fuel payment scheme to be extended to help fuel poor households.
The Committee on Fuel Poverty’s second annual report warns of the slow progress being made to upgrade homes and recommends fuel poor households receive ‘at least the same levels of assistance’ through the winter fuel payment scheme to pay their bills as pensioners.
